Jenkins Photography is a recommended wedding photographer for Craig Y Nos. We were lucky enough to capture this beautiful, unique Gothic wedding day for Maya and Nathan. It was the perfect location, and it most certainly became a day to remember for all.
Maya and Nathan both started their day getting ready and did their own hair and makeup. This resulted in truly stunning effects. The venue was dazzled in green, black, and blue, enchanting gothic bunting and decor. While the cake was an elegant blue, green, and black three-tier.

Maya looked incredible, with a golden and black tiara and a dress that was infinitely detailed. She looked like the epitome of a dark queen. Nathan looked dapper too, with attire that would make ‘My Chemical Romance’ fans remember their classic ‘Black Parade’. This was very appropriate attire since the chemistry of this romance was in the air on their special day.
At Jenkins Photography, we love all weddings. However, a wedding this unique knocked tradition out of the park and replaced it with Gothic glitz and glam. It created memories for lifetimes to come.
Similarly, guests were glamorously dressed, with bridesmaids dressed in blue and a very gorgeous flower girl. The ring bearer was in blue to match.
The colour scheme was unique, with blues, greens, and blacks decorating this historical castle throughout. The archway they used for their vows was decorated in vibrant flowers to match their colours. Black balloons crested overhead.

‘Home Sweet Home.‘
After the ceremony and some photos, the wedding breakfast was served. Later they took to the floor and shared their first dance. With the Gothic gold thrones to match, they are now a happily married alternative King and Queen. Their first dance was a true spectacle of the love they share.
Let’s not forget the fun. Every wedding is filled with moments of romantic bliss and joyous giggles. For Maya and Nathan, part of the giggles was a fun newlywed chair game. It certainly caused a lot of laughter. We love candid shots, and these images of Maya laughing capture the joy of this day and their union.
We can’t always guarantee that the weather will be suitable for your big day. That is why we offer a weather guarantee. Maya and Nathan’s Craig y Nos Gothic wedding made use of this, as it was too wet to venture out to the country park. A few days later, we got them the beautiful images they deserved.

Maya and Nathan were also one of the couples that decided to have some photos taken in the haunted area of the castle (spooky!). While they weren’t jumped by any ghosts (we don’t think so), there were plenty of laughs! It was a great experience to enjoy this part of the castle. Moreover, it was an awesome experience for Maya and Nathan.
South Wales Wedding Photographers: Maya And Nathan’s Day
Maya and Nathan chose to have their gothic wedding big day at Craig Y Nos Castle. It is a beautiful venue and full of so many incredible opportunities for photos. With a bar and a decorated conservatory dining area, it made for their ideal venue.
It is an old Gothic castle that fits their aesthetic beautifully. Speeches came first and were then followed by food, served up by the talented in-house chefs of the castle.
The evening was in the conservatory, with tables arranged to one side. This allowed for the dance floor to open up for the happy couple and guests.
Their evening was rife with games, dancing, and moshing.
